Second victim survives boathouse tragedy

The second man found on a boat in Secret Cove after a suspected carbon monoxide poisoning incident has been released from Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and is expected to make a full recovery, said Duke Andrash, owner of Duke's Marina.

PST registration for businesses begins

Businesses that sell or lease taxable goods, or sell software or taxable services in B.C., are now able to register to collect the tax. Registration for the provincial sales tax opened Jan. 2. The PST will be re-implemented April 1.

Street trees seek adoptive homes

Sechelt residents can apply to have a free street tree installed in front of their property through the Adopt a Street Tree program. In 2012, Sechelt planted more than 80 trees under this partnership program.

RCMP target impaired driving

Sunshine Coast RCMP focused on road safety during the month of December, taking 18 impaired drivers off the roadways. This was up from last year's totals of 17 impaired drivers.
