A boat moored offshore in Sechelt Inlet being used as a home was burned beyond repair Thursday, Aug. 1, despite the best efforts of nearby sailors and the Sechelt volunteer fire department.

Mountie given suspended sentence for assault

Sunshine Coast RCMP reported the following for July 30 to Aug. 6: On July 30, a two-vehicle collision occurred eastbound on Highway 101 at Bay Road in Sechelt,after the first vehicle stopped for the left-turning vehicle in front of it.

RCMP track down one stolen vehicle

Sunshine Coast RCMP have tracked down one of the vehicles reported stolen last week in a string of auto thefts over a five-day period. On Aug. 6, RCMP received a report of an abandoned truck in a back road located off Reed Road in Gibsons.
