On the evening of Feb. 14, a male in a yellow slicker attended a residence in the 100 block of Swallow Road and stated he was from a utility company. The homeowner did not open the door to the male, but spoke to him through a window. The male told the homeowner that he wanted to advise her that her power might be going off shortly. The homeowner did not engage in any further conversation and did not ask for the male's identification or note the vehicle he was driving, but she did call the utility company who confirmed that they do not send employees out to warn people their power might go off.

On Feb. 15, a hit and run was reported in a parking lot near School and North roads after a brown GMC Safari or Chevy Astro-type van with an "N" in the rear window backed into a vehicle, drove forward a bit, then backed up a second time into the parked vehicle. Unfortunately, the witness was unable to obtain the licence plate number, and could only describe the suspect driver as a white female in her 20 to 30s, with shoulder length brown hair.

On Feb. 17, a shoplifter was caught by a staff member of a business in the 900 block of Gibsons Way. Very early on Feb. 18, two separate attempted break and enters were reported. The first occurred in the 800 block of Sunnycrest Road, while the second occurred in the 800 block of Reed Road. It is unknown how the thief broke-in as there were no signs of forced entry.

A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 101 and Marine Drive after the first vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto the Port Mellon Highway and was struck by the second vehicle, which was exiting the Langdale ferry terminal. All parties were taken to hospital for minor injuries and both vehicles were towed. The driver of the first vehicle was issued a violation ticket for failing to yield on a left turn.

A break and enter in-progress was reported early on Feb. 21 at a business in the 5500 block of Wharf Road after a witness heard the sound of breaking glass and saw two black-clad suspects running from the scene with black bags.
