Get out and vote Saturday, June 25, on whether you want the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) to build new recreation facilities in Gibsons and Sechelt and take over the operations and maintenance of the existing arena and pool.

If the referendum passes, the SCRD will borrow up to $19,338,000 to build a pool in Sechelt and an ice-based community centre in Gibsons to complement the existing facilities.

If you are 18 or older, a resident of the Coast or a property owner on the Coast, you can vote in this referendum at one of the following locations between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Halfmoon Bay: Coopers Green Hall, 5500 Fisherman Rd. Sechelt: West Sechelt Elementary, 5609 Mason Rd.; Sechelt Public Library, community meeting room, 5797 Cowrie St.; or Davis Bay Elementary School, 5078 Davis Bay Rd. Sechelt Indian Government District: Sechelt Public Library, community meeting room, 5797 Cowrie St. Roberts Creek: Roberts Creek Community Hall, 1309 Roberts Creek Rd. Elphinstone: Frank West Hall, 1224 Chaster Rd. Gibsons: Gibsons Town Hall, 474 South Fletcher Rd. West Howe Sound: Cardinall Hall, 930 Chamberlin Rd.

If you are not a registered voter, bring two pieces of ID with you (one with a signature) and register at the voting place.
