VCH issues drug alert for Sechelt

Vancouver Coastal Health issued an alert for drugs tested on the Sunshine Coast. 

"Dark orange pebbles from Sechelt tested positive for fentanyl, xylazine and benzos," said a Dec. 5 Toxic Drug & Health Alert from Toward the Heart of BC Centre for Disease Control Harm Reduction Services.

"Substance has caused sedation," the alert adds.

The alert reminds people of the overdose prevention site in the parking lot of 5653 Wharf Avenue. Its hours are 6 p.m. to midnight every day.
