Thousands of dollars in equipment stolen from Rona store in Madeira Park

The Rona hardware store in Madeira Park was the target of a “significant break and enter” in the early hours of Monday morning, Oct. 18, Sunshine Coast RCMP report.

Police say thousands of dollars of Stihl chainsaws, leaf blowers, Hilti drill kits, and a Firman generator along with other items were stolen from the store.

The break-in occurred between about 3 and 3:30 a.m.

Surveillance video captured two male suspects who were driving a white SUV, possibly a Dodge Journey.

Police are still investigating and reviewing the surveillance video.
