A Sechelt business has been nominated in three categories for the 2013 Small Business BC awards.
The Sound is nominated for Best Concept, Best Community Impact and the Premiers People's Choice.
The Sound is a place for music education as well as personal and group experience through sound. It has been in operation for two and a half years under the guidance of local musician Steve Wright, who also goes by the performance name of Steve Weave.
He is well known as the musical director of the Rainforest Circus event at the annual Synchronicity Festival held in Gibsons, and the coordinator of the community collaboration recording Across the Lines, which featured local musicians and residents of Christensen Village assisted living centre.
