Sechelt senior facing fentanyl, LSD and meth trafficking charges

A 62-year-old Sechelt male is facing drug charges after a raid on a residence in the 5500 block of Inlet Avenue, according to a May 16 press release from Sunshine Coast RCMP.

Anthony Benedict Pearce is facing three charges for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking in fentanyl, lysergic acid diethlamide (LSD) and Methamphetamine.

The release, issued by Cst. Karen Whitby, media relations officer with the detachment, outlined that the RCMP executed a search warrant at the residence on Feb. 17.  They seized cash, a wide variety of illegal drugs and arrested the male suspect. 

Charges associated to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act were approved in Sechelt Provincial Court on May 10. No information on further legal proceedings related to the matter were provided.
