The women of Paraguay prepared the service for 2007; the theme was Under God's Tent. The service highlighted the key issues in the lives of many different women. Pastors Glynden and Diane Cross used a special presentation to show the location of Paraguay. The information given included pictures of the South American county and details of the life of the people along with history of the country.

Also featured was a picture of native lace. The handiwork, called nanduti, is a fabric with many different designs joined together to form the whole. The lace plays a crucial part in the economy. It is the means by which the women of Paraguay help provide for their families.

Following the service there was an opportunity for the varied church members to fellowship and enjoy each other company over goodies provided by the participants.

Women in Canada and the United States began World Day of Prayer in 1922. It is now observed in 170 countries worldwide. The offerings taken at the services provide grants to various projects and countries. Next year women in the country of Guyana will prepare the service.
