Powell River-Sunshine Coast MLA Randene Neill held a launch party for her lower Sunshine Coast community office, just off Highway 101 in downtown Sechelt, May 24.
With goodies set out and several local politicians bidding hello to the first-time MLA, who is also Minister of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship ("I'm never going to get her back here!" chided one municipal councillor as Coast Reporter beckoned Neill and her community advisors to pose for a photo), the launch had about 30 people attend, said Neill's newsletter.
Located at #103–5674 Teredo Square (around the corner from Nourish, which provided the goodies), the office is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is a departure from former longtime MLA Nicholas Simons' office in Davis Bay.
Neill has two constituency advisors: Donna Bell (who some may know as MP Patrick Weiler's former constituency assistant as well as current Sechelt councillor) and Lauri Paul (who some may know as a community volunteer and author in Halfmoon Bay).
For those looking for more information about Neill's activities, she has a monthly Coastal Connections Newsletter.
