Pack your patience if you're travelling to or from the lower Sunshine Coast Friday afternoon.
BC Ferries has cancelled the Queen of Surrey's 1:15 p.m. sailing departing Langdale and the 2:25 p.m. sailing departing Horseshoe Bay because of mechanical issues with the ship's vessel’s #1 air compressor.
Other sailings, starting with the Queen of Coquitlam's 2:05 p.m. from Langdale are expected to sail as scheduled, said a service notice
The mechanically ailed ship is set to resume sailing with a 3:15 p.m. departure from Horseshoe Bay.
"For those customers travelling on to Powell River, when onboard your sailing from Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) to Langdale (Sunshine Coast) you can speak with the Chief Steward to ask for confirmation on whether the sailing is being held for transfer traffic," said a notice re-issued at 1:42 p.m. "Please check our Sunshine Coast Service Notices for updates."
