Last fall, at some point after the takedown of the hand-painted banners that decorate the Town of Gibsons, this banner went missing.
Designed and painted by Greta Guzek (pictured), the banner would have been auctioned off in the new year to raise funds for subsequent banner painting, commencing in the spring of 2016.
Anyone who happens to come across this banner is asked to drop it off in a bag at the Town of Gibsons office for program coordinator Connie Johnston. No questions will be asked.
Application forms for artists to create next year’s crop of banners are available at the Town of Gibsons office, the Gibsons Public Art Gallery, or at www.gibsons.ca (Community/Arts and Culture).
