The Sunshine Coast RCMP detachment is proudly displaying original paintings by high school students from Chatelech Secondary School.

"It is our privilege to showcase these talented young artists and we invite you to visit the main detachment at 5800 Teredo Street in Sechelt," said Staff Sgt. Herb Berdahl, detachment commander for the Sunshine Coast RCMP.

The current display is acrylic on canvas and is of a variety of subject matter.

?The project to have student art in the detachment is a collaboration between office manager Kathleen Suddes, youth detail officer Const. Kevin Shepherd, and the secondary schools within School District No. 46 (SD46).

It is the intention of the Sunshine Coast RCMP to continue this project as a permanent program of displays, allowing the Sunshine Coast detachment to be a visible bridge between the RCMP, the community and the talented youth within SD46.
