The field is set for the Nov. 19th municipal election on the Sunshine Coast.

At 4 p.m. today (Oct. 14), the election returning officers confirmed all nominees for the Town of Gibsons, District of Sechelt, Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD), Gambier Island Local Trust and School District No. 46 (SD46).

Running for mayor in the District of Sechelt are incumbent Darren Inkster, former Coun. Ed Steeves, John Henderson and Douglas Smith.

Running for council in Sechelt with six to be elected are incumbents Warren Allan, Alice Janisch, Alice Lutes and Keith Thirkell along with Mary Bittroff, Norm Blair, Stan Dixon, Doug Hockley, Terry Karkabe, Tom Lamb, Chris Moore, Anita Paulin, Mike Shanks and Darnelda Siegers.

Running for mayor in the Town of Gibsons is incumbent Barry Janyk along with current Coun. Wayne Rowe and newcomer Arthur Shaw.

Running for council in Gibsons with four to be elected are incumbents Bob Curry, LeeAnn Johnson and Gerry Tretick along with Dan Bouman, Brian Hubenig, Hammy McClymont, Brian Sadler and Charlene SanJenko.

Running for the SCRD in Area A (Pender Harbour/Egmont) are Mike Carson and Frank Mauro, in Area B (Halfmoon Bay) incumbent Garry Nohr and Roger Lagasse, running in Area D (Roberts Creek) incumbent Donna Shugar along with Hans Penner and Barbara Hague, running in Area E (Elphinstone) is incumbent Lorne Lewis and Laura Wallace, while in Area F (West Howe Sound) incumbent Lee Turnbull was the only nominee and has been acclaimed.

For the Gambier Island Local Trust Area the candidates are: Joyce Clegg, Bruce Bingham, Jan Hagedorn, Lynn Leboe and Katie-Louise Stamford.

Running for SD46 trustee in Sechelt with two to be elected are incumbent Dave Mewhort along with Erin Brooks-Wilson, Erin Lane, Lennea Perpet and Christine Younghusband.

Running in Gibsons with one to be elected are incumbents Fran Heppell and Silas White.

Running in Area two with three trustees to be elected representing the Sechelt Indian Government District, Roberts Creek, Elphinstone and West Howe Sound are incumbents Greg Russell and Jason Scott along with Elizabeth (Betty Baxter), Lori Dixon, Claudia Ferris, Diane Hill and Larry Koopman.

Area one, representing one trustee in Pender Harbour and Halfmoon Bay, is incumbent Lori Ann Pratt and she was the only nominee and has been acclaimed.
