BC Ferries is alerting travellers about expected busy sailings due to the upcoming PRISMA (Pacific Region International Summer Music Association) Festival, which runs from June 12 to 24 at venues throughout Powell River.

The company is expecting heavy traffic on several trips, specifically mentioning the 9:55 am sailing from Comox (Little River) and 5:15 pm sailing from Powell River (Westview) on Saturday, June 24, for a Sail to the Symphony concert, which starts at 2 pm.

"A significant volume of concert-goers will be travelling with us on the 9:55 am sailing from Comox and the 5:15 pm sailing from Powell River," stated BC Ferries in a media release. "Customers are encouraged to book vehicle reservations at bcferries.com and consider planning their travel outside the heavy traffic sailings to avoid delays."

Paid parking facilities at Little River Terminal will be busy in the morning on June 24 due to the extra demand for parking as a result of the PRISMA event, according to BC Ferries.
