Shane Carlson

Shane Carlson was born and raised in Powell River. He has been involved with the Peak since volume 1, issue 1, was published in November of 1995.
His sports stories were featured in print issues of the new endeavour, while behind the scenes he was a shareholder in and contributor to the family-owned company that started the Peak in a joint venture with Lower Mainland Publishing. The Carlson family sold its shares to Glacier Media in 2015.
Shane’s contributions evolved into writing business, news and community articles, which continued through stints as a graphic designer and copy editor. He became editor in 2018 and welcomes story ideas and comments at [email protected].
