Arts council selects winners

Next year's 19 street banner designs have been selected from more than 300 entries by artists under the age of 15 who live on the Sunshine Coast.

Next year's 19 street banner designs have been selected from more than 300 entries by artists under the age of 15 who live on the Sunshine Coast. Banners will be produced from these designs and erected on Cowrie and Wharf streets in Sechelt for the summer of 2009.

The young artists whose designs were selected by the Sunshine Coast Arts Council are: Lucy Schick, 7, L'Ecole du Pacifique; Keegan Laycock, 11, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; Sawyer Cote, 10, Madeira Park Elementary; Melissa Emerson, 10, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; Trystyn Kaizer, 13, Sechelt Elementary; Jake Podgrenko, 7, Sechelt Elementary; Kayla Zogas, 10, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; Zoe Younghusband, 5, West Sechelt Elementary; Jessica Luporini, 11, Cedar Grove Elementary; Cam Anderson, 11, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; David Humphries, 11, Langdale Elementary; Cameron Procknow, 9, Sechelt Elementary; Biliano Panic, 12, Sechelt Elementary; Chris Joseph, 10, Madeira Park Elementary; Harley Wilson, 8, Sechelt Elementary; Margaret Dickie, 6, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; Darienne Hunter, 10, Halfmoon Bay Elementary; Danica Ann Lumb, 12, Davis Bay Elementary; Maena Aguilar, 5, Halfmoon Bay Elementary.
