A male suspect stole an automated external defibrillator (AED) from the Hackett Park public restroom on Nov. 27 at about 3 a.m., Sunshine Coast RCMP report.
It was District of Sechelt staff who reported the theft, which was caught on-camera. “A male suspect, dressed in a light-coloured hooded track suit, is seen removing the AED from its box,” said an RCMP news release.
Police are also trying to identify a witness, described as “a male dressed in black hoody and pants, walking a small Pug-like dog that was wearing a red vest with a red strobe light on its collar.
“Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact RCMP, reference police file 2021-800074.”
