Polar Boars take the plunge

Yeehaa, what a day! Wind, rain, choppy conditions on the water - but it didn't deter 50 or so people from taking the annual Polar Boar Plunge at Armours Beach on Jan. 1. A great crowd of people was on hand to cheer these hearty souls into the water.

Diesel fuel spills in Porpoise Bay

A partially submerged boat leaking diesel fuel at the Porpoise Bay government dock was hauled out of the water by crane Thursday morning. Oil spill pads surrounded the boat and area, absorbing the diesel from the water.
