The Sunshine Coast has had an outpouring of community support for Pride Month as the post-COVID resurgence of in-person activities continues. There are events – for youth and adults alike – throughout June.

On the lower Sunshine Coast, Gibsons and District Public Library and Sechelt Public Library received $38,271.40 and $41,580.85 respectively. On the upper Coast, Powell River Public Library received $42,407.

After more than a decade at Trail Bay Mall, the cooperative Coastal Art Gallery has re-opened at Sunnycrest Mall in Upper Gibsons.

Halfmoon Bay's Ruth Rodgers releases novel ‘Those who Return,' which follows several generations of a Japanese-Canadian family – from 1880 to 2002.
