Halfmoon Bay photographic artist Elaine Hunter is attracting both international attention and renewed recognition here at home, with a show at Gibsons Public Art Gallery next year and at the Earth Art exhibit at the Sechelt Arts Festival next month.

Garden Bay resident Krystin Clark didn’t set out to write a book; she simply set out on a curious experiment dubbed The Grateful Jar Project. The premise was simple.

The Coast Recital Society’s stellar 2018-19 concert season begins this Sunday, Sept. 23 at the Raven’s Cry Theatre. The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. with a pre-concert chat at 1:30 hosted by CRS artistic director Frances Wainwright.

It takes a community to keep a great arts venue alive and kicking. The building that is now the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons turns 90 next year and, understandably, it had been getting a little ragged around the edges.
