‘We really wanted to create an an ode to the print on the wall’

Two brilliant Canadian artists with deep ties to the B.C. coast will bring a spectacular program of works for violin and piano to the Coast Recital Society on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Last week the drama programming and development arm of the Fox Television Network announced the renewal of Murder in a Small Town, which aired its first season on the Global network. Its inaugural eight episodes, filmed at locations across the Coast early in 2024, were televised starting Sept. 24. 

For the first of its dozen scheduled exhibitions in 2025, The Kube gallery in Gibsons turned its attention to an artistic hotbed directly across the street: Elphinstone Secondary School.

Only two days after a frenzied surge of 60 last-minute contributions, the Sunshine Coast Arts Council’s annual Friends of the Gallery show launched on Jan. 10 with a crowded public reception at its Sechelt complex.
