The Drop Dead Gorgeous Pole Walkers group raised $1,340 in 2018 by collecting toonies each week to contribute towards local charities.

As 2018 draws to a close, I fondly remember two Elphinstone residents who passed away this past year. Many will remember Stan Jones, who worked at a variety of jobs. My husband and I knew him as a good neighbour.

The grade 6/7 students at Halfmoon Bay Community School have been working hard to give back this season. The students learned hand weaving to create coin bags, painted tree cookie ornaments and made beeswax-coated fabric food wraps.
