Michael Buckholtz is a single-father and author of Autism is my Universe, which chronicles his journey as an autistic person. Founder of Aid For Autistic Children, a non-profit organization that helps families in need who are raising children with autism, Buckholtz has just finished a 30-day hunger strike to raise awareness of autism in the U.S.

He will jam with local musicians where people can come, meet and chat with him. He will also be available to sign copies of his book with all proceeds going to Aid For Autistic Children. He is working with ANCA Consulting Inc., (an all autistic company) to promote autism awareness.

"I am always concerned that the parents of autistic children are relinquishing their natural desire to nurture their child in the way that they know them best," said Buckholtz. "Leonora and Charlie, of ANCA, have figured this out. They've been at it for about 15 years and I've decided to partner my notoriety with their experience to bring broader attention to their amazingly successful work."

You won't want to miss this event with Buckholtz and ANCA Consulting Inc. founding directors, Charlie Collura and Leonora Gregory-Collura.

If you are Autistic, a parent of a child on the Autism Spectrum, work with and support autistic individuals or simply interested to meet Buckholtz join them on July 16 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
