The Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) wants you!
CFUW is inviting the public to attend an open house on Monday, Sept. 26, 9:30 a.m., at St. John’s United Church, 5085 Davis Bay Rd. Speaker Francis Wainwright of the Coast Recital Society is presenting, while chairwoman Unni Claridge will provide opening comments.
CFUW is an organization that promotes equality of opportunity and education for women. The local branch provides several post-secondary bursaries for educational upgrading, as well as contributing to public and civic affairs.
Both a social and a service club, CFUW Sunshine Coast has myriad activities to offer, including travel, wine tasting, walking and bridge groups. Ever evolving, CFUW hopes to increase community awareness of the organization at the open house.
University education is not a requirement and admission is free: simply bring along your interest and ideas.
