It’s a simple gift-filled shoebox. But the impact each Operation Christmas Child box has when it’s opened by a child somewhere around the world is anything but ordinary.
Now is the time to be shopping for and packing your Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. You can use a regular shoebox, Rubbermaid box, or red and green box you can pick up at Calvary Baptist Church, IGA Marketplace in Gibsons, GBS Gibsons & Sechelt, Dollar stores, Bethel Baptist Church, New Hope Chiropractic, Crossroads Church, Christian Life Assembly, Christ the King, Calvary Chapel, Scouts, St. Bart’s and Blue Skies Tax Service. Be a part of more children in the world getting the gift of a lifetime through an Operation Christmas Child shoebox.
Boxes can be filled with school supplies, hygiene items, toys and a note and photo if you like. Please do not include food or candy, toothpaste, used items, breakable items, decks of cards, items that can leak, melt or freeze, or items that can scare or harm a child. Include your donation of $7 to help with shipping.
You can drop off filled boxes at any church on the list or GBS or you can take them to 1073 Grandview Road (Pratt and Grandview) where they are being packed and shipped from. Call Martha at 604-886-8545 for questions. Return them as soon as possible but no later than Nov. 20.
