YMCA Camp Elphinstone is hosting several events this month. This Monday, Feb. 10 the Camp will sponsor a free, Family Day event from 9 a.m. to noon. A light snack will be provided along with a morning of fun activities for the whole family.

This Monday, Feb. 10 the Camp will sponsor a free, Family Day event from 9 a.m. to noon. A light snack will be provided along with a morning of fun activities for the whole family. While you're there, check out the new climbing tower that's under construction.

Tuesday, Feb. 11 is the start of a Youth Leadership Development program for grades seven to nine. It runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Camp, 1750 YMCA Road in Langdale.

There's also a food skills program that teaches families about nutritious food choices and preparation. It runs for six weeks on Thursday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. starting Feb. 13. To register, contact Robb Tidd at 604-886-2025, ext 226.

The West Howe Sound Community Association (WHSCA) is offering locals an opportunity to learn and ask questions about their water supply at a presentation by Sunshine Coast Regional District's general manager Bryan Shoji and utility services manager Dave Crosby this Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Doors open at 7 at the Eric Cardinal Hall, 930 Chamberlin Road. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
