When we gather together, beautiful results can happen.
So it is with 10 women at Living Faith Lutheran Church – Erna Berg, Renate Greenwood, Shirley Samuelson, Shirley Pajunen, Sharon Jones, Irene Jankovits, Ruth Glessing, Randi Haukaas, Marguerite Poliseno and Matti Forugori.
Together, they created 38 original hand-made quilts. This is now a yearly project for the month of February that creates friendships, skills and appreciation as they quilt together. The local Home Hardware stores freely collect the quilts from across Canada and deliver them to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief Centre in Winnipeg. They are then sent to refugee camps and disaster areas around the world where they are most needed.
