Gibsons Legion Branch 109 has as part of our purpose to support veterans, families, and community. In recognition of our purpose, we also are pleased to support our veterans in the service they have provided to our community.
Gibsons Legion Branch 109 hosted a very successful Veterans Lunch on May 17. There were 46 guests present and it gave us an opportunity to renew acquaintances and welcome and introduce our newer members. With many thanks to our volunteers and our kitchen, we were able to recognize many of our veterans and serve them.
Legions are one of the remaining places for veterans and community to gather and share stories with each other in a friendly place. As a non-profit organization, we do rely on volunteers to assist us to meet our purpose of supporting veterans, families, and community.
We continue to have entertainment which is one of the many ways we can provide the support we do for meeting our goals through the comfort of our lounge.
