The Sunshine Shack at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre is back in business to serve you coffee, tea, hot chocolate, baking and wraps.

“We are so excited to be back in business and we would like to thank the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation for their Covid-19 Emergency Response
grant,” said Pat Stuart, board chair of the Gibsons Family Network charity. “We appreciate the local businesses who support the operation of the Sunshine
Shack, which began 13 years ago when the Community Centre opened.”
The Sunshine Shack employs nine people with developmental disabilities. They are supported by two staff members who oversee the operation and are funded
partially by Community Living BC.

“Thank you to SuperValu for their ongoing support, The Bakery in Sechelt for cookies, Strait Coffee and Wheatberries for muffins,” Stuart added.

“We look forward to seeing you soon. Drop by and say hi. We have missed you!”
