The Sunshine Coast Lions Club in Sechelt celebrates its 60th anniversary this month! Thank you to everyone who assisted the club in providing a lending hand to those individuals needing support in the community. The club is particularly grateful for the ongoing weekly support of Claytons Heritage Market and the Lighthouse Pub. In December 2023 alone, the club donated more than $7,000 to local organizations such as the new transition house, the Arrowhead Clubhouse, the food bank… just to name a few!
The Sunshine Coast Lions Club based in Sechelt was founded in 1964 and is a local organization dedicated to assisting community neighbours, as well as belonging to the largest service organization in the world – Lions International.
Locally, the club supports the Sunshine Coast Lions Housing Society, which owns and operates Greenecourt, offering affordable independent living rental housing for seniors and persons with disabilities. For information contact: 604-885-5962 or [email protected].
Interested in joining Sunshine Coast Lions Club? Meetings are held at Greenecourt on the first and third Thursday of each month. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, have fun and enjoy the comradery in assisting with fundraising events, which support your local community! The club raises funds through the popular Gift Card & Meat Draw, every Saturday 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lighthouse Pub. So drop by… club members would love to chat with you!
