Students at West Sechelt Elementary School put on a circus complete with clowns, acrobatics and stunts on June 1 after working with former Cirque du Soleil performer Gerardo Avila for several days. Teacher Lisa Allen invited Avila to the school to share his talents with the students after they expressed an interest in the subject. Avila created a role for each of the 200-plus students to portray in the hour-long circus that delighted parents and invited guests on Monday afternoon. See more photos in our online galleries.
