Open to ages 8 and up, $57.75 for half-hour session, tax in. Mask protocols in place.

Clay
OPEN STUDIO – Beth Hawthorn Ceramics has announced an open studio Saturday, March 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Images of work available will be posted on facebook.com/beth.hawthorn.ceramics. Located at 1551 Lockyer Rd. COVID friendly, of course.

Wood
In the Heart of the Creek, between the Gumboot and the Legion is one of our newest enterprises, Creek Signs. Byron Brock (and family) have taken the love of art and wood and put them together to create live edge custom routed signs for any occasion. Check out the work at creeksigns.net or call 604-989-4454.

Metal
I know a guy who does metalwork; check out treeblacksmith.com and tell him I sent you.

Grow
Our Sunshine Coast Nursery & Flower Farm is out of hibernation and in full bloom at 1826 Sunshine Coast Hwy., open 10-4 seven days a week. Visit sunshinecoastnursery.com or call 604-886-2796 for more.

Don’t forget the Rusty Hinge at 1059 Roberts Creek Rd. (beside the health food store), beautifully curated flower and gift shop with friendly staff.

Eat
Sharkey’s Fish Locker is now open.

We have weekly choices in the Wednesday markets at the corner of Highway 101 and Roberts Creek Road as well as Curry in the Creek (sold out for March; try again for April). Check out menu updates at curryinthecreek.com. The Jerk Pan Man (for pickup or delivery call 604-840-7279) may show up again. Don’t want to go out? Get delivery of produce and more, by the box, every week through Coastal Organics (www.coastalorganicshomedelivery.com).

The General store has your general needs covered (ice cream cone, check, cold beer, check, junior mints, check) from 8 a.m. till 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 p.m. the rest of the week.

Our restaurant and cafe are still humming along, get out and Gumboot!

Play
Vinyl to fill your ear holes and instruments to keep your hands and mind busy, all available at Melomania, behind the Cafe.

Hike
Cliff Gilker is a personal favourite, Clack and Roberts Creek provide stunning features to this slice of paradise. An easy hike with the right shoes, just don’t walk it in flip-flops.

Ride
Trails up Largo are among the best going and although I broke my derailer near the top, I managed to get all the way down without the need to pedal.

Camp
If you are going to stay-cation, the provincial park might be right place; 21 gravel sites campsites on a first-come, first-served basis.

Gather
With the new easing of restrictions and the weather getting better, I will put a posse of 10 friends together for some outdoor fun, if I can remember how to be social after this last year.
