Pender Harbour

Art Crawl is happening Friday, Oct. 22, Saturday and Sunday all over the Coast. Harbour Gallery is participating this year. Visit this beautiful, quaint gallery located in one of the historic buildings bordering on the scenic waterfront in downtown Madeira Park. Several of the members – fantastic artists of many mediums – have new works on display for this event. Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

So much to see at FibreWorks Studio and Gallery. Venue #155 will have the creations of 35 fibre artists in the shop and gallery. Vanessa Bjerroko will be there and demonstrate her master spinning skills. Beautiful Mess is the current exhibit in the gallery.

The rainy days are upon us and perfect weather to spend some indoor classroom time. All classes at the Harbour Learning Centre. Pre-registration is required. Call the PHCS at 604-883-2826.

Yes, there will be a Christmas Faire at the Hall – on Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hosted by the Pender Harbour Community Club. Artisan vendor and musician inquiries – call 604-989-0851. COVID protocols in place for all activities at the Hall.

On Thursday, Oct. 28, Harbourside Friendship celebrates Halloween traditions, so costume up if the spirit moves you!

Only two more weekends of live music at the Clubhouse so reserve your table now. This Sunday, Oct. 24, Half Cut and The Slackers will provide an afternoon of lively music. The place was packed last Sunday, all of us enjoying the top-drawer music – Sofa Kings, delicious food, drinks, and the magic ingredient for a good time: the outstanding hospitality of Mike and his family. The big table of enthusiastic folks are your very own Pender Harbour Blues Society (PHBS) members. Love music? Come by and find out about volunteering for events next year.

Paul Gaudet was a long-time volunteer of the PHBS and the extremely popular, entertaining bartender at the dances at the Hall. The Haul for Paul last weekend was a fine tribute to this much-loved man. Thank you, to those who organized, participated, and came out to the parade. Paul’s wish was granted.
