This summer will mark the third successful year of Sea to Sky Outdoor School's popular Salish Sea Explorers.

The program offers children ages nine to 11 the opportunity to take part in a week of canoe-based adventure day trips based out of Gibsons Harbour.

The week's activities will include Voyageur canoeing, adventure hiking, ocean swimming, nature interpretation, survival skills, sustainability education and forest games.

Programs are led by Sea to Sky's lead educators (certified teachers with wilderness first aid training).

This summer's program will run from Aug. 26 to 30, and registration will be open soon at www.seatosky.bc.ca.

A parent's information evening for families interested in the Salish Sea Explorers program will be held at the Gibsons Arts Building (next door to the library) on April 9 at 7 p.m.

Program directors from Sea to Sky Outdoor School will be on hand to share information about the program and to answer questions.
