Members blocked Redrooffs Road near the collision in both directions until the vehicle was able to be towed from scene when conditions improved. The matter has been referred to ICBC.

On Jan. 5, a single vehicle had driven into and was stuck in Chapman Creek in the 4400 block of Sunshine Coast Highway, Sechelt. The driver had no injuries but exhibited signs of impairment. The driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Jan. 6, police attended a single-vehicle rollover that ended in the ditch near the intersection of Sunshine Coast Highway and Flume Road, Roberts Creek. The vehicle engine was cold and while RCMP were on-scene, the driver arrived and updated that earlier that day he hit a patch of ice and drove off the road into the ditch. Towing services were already notified by driver. Referred to ICBC.
