Photos: Pender Harbour's 78th annual May Day was one for the books

A tip of the “cowboy” hat to event organizers, volunteers and sponsors for job well done and to Mother Nature for sunny skies and warm temperatures.

Pender Harbour’s 78th celebration of May Day on May 20 drew a huge crowd for western-themed outdoor festivities, centred on the playing field at Madeira Park Elementary School.  Included were a kids' fishing derby, open-air market, an amazing variety of food and beverage options, parade, live music, games and the crowning of May Queen Bella McCormick.
