Dining and music is also happening at The Legion tonight (Friday) with a three-course dinner, entertainment with Ken Johnson and Robin Edgar. Tickets are $25.

The silent auction is open for bids on the beautiful reproduction antique cabinet until Feb. 28 at The Bargain Barn Thrift Store during opening hours, Wednesday through Saturday. The volunteer staff are happy to answer any questions.

The Pender Harbour hiking club is out twice a week, Monday and Wednesday mornings for hikes from Sechelt to Egmont. Contact Janet at 604-883-2054 for times and locations.

The Pender Harbour Wildlife Society invites everyone to their annual general meeting and presentation this Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Pender Harbour Secondary School.

Annual reports and election of officers will take place. Speaker Anayansi Cohen-Fernandez biologist and reclamations specialist will give a presentation on owls focusing on the western screech owl (coastal kennicottii subspecies) providing information on how we can protect this precious and threatened species.

This Thursday, Feb. 20 join the Harbourside Friendships at 10:30 a.m. for coffee then the sharing circle: topic current events at the PH Community Hall. Hot lunch will be served at noon for $10. Cathy has more information at 604-883-9760.
