Pender Harbour & Egmont: Floating festival of Christmas lights returns

Pender Harbour will be a floating festival of Christmas lights, carollers and pipers as the 55th annual Christmas Boat Parade sets off from Millennium Park at 6:30 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 20.

Egmont Community Christmas Potluck Dinner is also Friday, starting at 6 p.m. at the Egmont Hall. 

Eddy Edrik’s Friday Night Jam at the Mad Park Legion is a rousing success so come join the fun. Starts at 7 p.m. Great opportunity to get up and show your musical talents. Admission is by donation (tip jar). 

There will not be a jam Dec. 27. Resumes Jan. 3. 

The New Year’s Eve party at the Legion will headline the popular duo Apasionado, Lori Carmichael and Randy Rayment. Doors open at 5 p.m. Appies and dinner with celebration at 10 p.m. 

PODS Pier Party, an annual celebration, is this Saturday, Dec. 21, 3 p.m. to late. This wonderful family event will be at the PODS site at Irvines Landing where the bonfire will be blazing, live music in the air, burgers and hot dogs on the grill, treats, snacks and beverages. The PODS Christmas Raffle Draw will take place at 6 p.m. 

Sunday Jam at The Clubhouse was smoking hot last week and another is in the works for this Sunday headlining the fabulous Peter Van Trio with Jim Foster too! Enjoy great food, the warm hospitality of The Clubhouse family and amazing music from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission by donation. The Clubhouse has the fantastic Steve Hinton Band headlining their New Year’s Eve Party. 

A Christmas Eve Singalong will be held at Christ the Redeemer Church starting at 4 p.m. This celebration will feature soloist, opera star Rose Ellen Nichols from Pender Harbour. Come and enjoy singing those favourite Christmas carols.
