Peter Gerald Isaak, Grandpa, 87 years old, of Davis Bay, BC passed away unexpectedly into quiet glory on August 7, 2022 at Shorncliffe Care Home in Sechelt, BC. He died the way he lived his life, quietly, without fanfare - having given thanks to God and those that surrounded him, cared for him and loved him. We know Dad was prepared, ready to meet his parents and four of his siblings in heaven.

He spent the last decade of his life valiantly fighting Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a debilitating neurological condition. Dad moved to Shorncliffe in February of 2020 and it's wonderful staff became his second family. The Isaak family is forever grateful for all the kindness they showed to Poppa Peter, day in and day out.

As the PSP progressed, Peter's quality of life waned but he never once complained. When he was awake and aware, he had that mischievous twinkle in his eye and curl in the corner of his mouth that told you he was still there, still loving everything and everyone around him, no matter what. Peter lived a life of humble faith, strength, love and integrity, and was a beautiful example for us all.

Grandpa leaves behind wife Anna Eleanore Isaak (nee Braun) and four children, Lyle, Donald (Tanya), Loretta (David) and Michelle, and grandchildren Caitlin, Hanna, Elliot, Lucas, Marlena, Wolfred and August. He is also survived by his sisters Helen and Carol (Ed) and brother Don, and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins in the Isaak and Braun families.

The extended family is planning a reunion and Celebration of Life at Stillwood Camp & Conference Center on May 2023 long weekend. More details and invites to follow.
