It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom, Patricia Keays, on February 5, 2023 at the age of 81.  Pat was born on June 7, 1941 in Vancouver and was predeceased by her parents William and Phyllis Gray and her sister Kathryn. She is survived by daughters Kelly (Dave), Kimberley (Francois), son Gordon, seven grandchildren: Natanya, Tara, Aaron, Myles, Kayla, Karmyn and Brooklyn, seven great-grandchildren and her furry, faithful companion, Oreo.

Patricia and family moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1974 and worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a cook and later in the laundry department. She volunteered in the community as both a Brownie and Girl Guide leader. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Past Guardian with the Job Daughters and in later years enjoyed outings and luncheons with the Red Hat ladies.

Mom always had time for family. She took pride in hosting many holiday dinners, gathering the grandkids for craft and cookie day at Christmas, baking and decorating birthday cakes, and sewing Halloween costumes for all.

Pat will be missed by many friends and family. Her warm smile, bubbly laughter and great stories will always be fondly remembered. Thank you to Dr. Phillipson and the caring team at Sechelt Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
