Myrtle Jane Braun was the youngest in her family born November 20,1932 in Pender Harbour.

She had a great love of music and worked after school to help with the purchase of a piano for the family.

Later, she met the love of her life, Menno Braun; soon the handsome couple were married on January 27, 1949, and bought their little house in Selma Park.

She was happy being a homemaker and a mother to Gail and Zenith.

Myrtle devoted her life to Zenith's health and welfare, giving Zenith as many of life's opportunities as possible.

Myrtle travelled the globe mostly from her love seat, but she did a bus tour of Europe with Gail, a trip across Canada and down to Mexico with Menno and Zenith.

She had a passion for learning through book, TV documentaries, English courses, and the Bible.

In her early thirties she took the Lord as her Saviour and became a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Missons were her focus which she supported financially and with prayer. She was indeed a missionary in Sechelt, where many people were touched by her faith.

Myrtle will be dearly missed and will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her.
