Lillian Louella Oreleta Farrell

It is with sadness that we share the passing of our mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt and friend.

Lou was the youngest of eight children born to Charles and Anna Tillapaugh in Smoky Lake, Alberta. The family moved to Armstrong when Lou was in her teens. In 1947, she married Jack Farrell. They raised their five kids in Coquitlam before moving to Pender Harbour in 1974. Mom learned how to drive when she was in her 50's, loved to paint, and was a life-long volunteer, beginning at the library in Vancouver Bay in the early 50's. She spent over 40 years working with the Sechelt Hospital Auxiliary.

Lou loved the many care aides who enabled her to stay in her home after her stroke in 2017. Her family would like to express how very thankful we are to all of them.

Lou is survived by her children, Mark (Shirley), Val, Barry (Kerri), Kevin (Lisa), and daughter-in-law, Kristy. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lou was predeceased by her daughter Marilyn in 2012, and by her husband Jack in 2016.

As per Mom's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers and cards, donations to your local hospital auxiliary would be appreciated.
