It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Joan Rowland. Joan was preceded by her husband of 66 years, Stan, her two sons, Lance and Mark, her granddaughter Shelby, and her sister Doreen.
Joan was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to Sid and Daisy Fennell. Joan spent most of her married life on the Sunshine Coast, first in Port Mellon and later on in Davis Bay. When they retired, they moved to Merritt, which they lived for over 30 years.
Joan leaves two brothers and one sister, her children Dawn, Brent (Janet), Craig (Ann) and Blair (Valerie), 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Joanie loved her family first, then Bingo and a good game of Crib. She will be truly missed.
