With deep love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Jill Schneider, who passed away, age 78, in Vancouver, BC; born in Ottawa to Vivian Cowan and Stuart Spear, joining brother Barry Cowan. Jill married Jerry Schneider in 1978 and raised their family across Canada, retiring to Roberts Creek in 2014. Jerry and four children survive her: Rosemary (Edward, children Myah, Sophia, Dominic, Alex, Cassie), Samantha (Kevin, daughter Grace), Aaron (Jacquie, daughter Anna, beloved dog Edgar), and Kyle (Lisa, son Jake). A talented elementary teacher, Jill was known for her practical nature, volunteerism, and engaging style. She cherished cards from students, reflecting her lasting impact. Jill used her expert knitting and sewing skills to create everything from costumes to puppets. An avid reader, Jill loved children’s literature, cookbooks, and cryptograms.
Jill gave her time and love freely and will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family.
