The Rayment family is sad to announce the passing of Doreen (Temlett) Rayment at the age of 95.

Doreen was born in Saskatchewan to Hector and Florence Temlett, growing up in Avonhurst, McLean, and Regina. An accomplished pianist who completed her ACTM through the Toronto Conservatory of Music, she taught piano before marrying William Rayment in Regina in 1948. Doreen and Bill moved to Vancouver in the 1950's, where they shared a love of music with their sons Randy and Murray throughout their family life. In the 1970's, Doreen and Bill found their "forever home" on BC's Sunshine Coast. Bill taught music at Elphinstone Secondary and Doreen worked at Coast Cable. Over the next three decades, they continued to share a passion for music and for travel, leading countless school band trips and charting RV adventures. Doreen was a fearless crafter - from needlework to cake decorating - which led to her volunteer work with the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary. After Bill died in 2007, her happiest days were spent planning and enjoying cruising adventures. The accompanying photo was taken on her 80th birthday on the Sapphire Princess.

Doreen leaves behind her twin sisters Jacqueline England and Geraldine Sanderson, sons Randy (Lori) and Murray (Trish), four grandchildren (Andrea, Ashley, Lindsay, Andrew), and five great-grandchildren (Jackson, Louw, Avery, Sydney, Charlotte).

At Doreen's request, there will be no formal service.
