Don was born in Martintown, Ontario.

Predeceased by his parents Archie and Hazel MacDonald, brother Angus and Sister-in-law Diedre, Sister Marilyn, and life partner Estelle Szymanski.

Survived by brothers Ted (Gayle) and Lorne (Lisa), niece and nephews.

At 16, Don taught school for one year. Worked as a lab technician at Howard Smith Paper Mill in Cornwall for 10 years. Moved to Vancouver and worked at McMillan Bodell particle board plant until he retired.

He found sobriety in 1971 and remained abstinent until he passed from our sight and hearing.

Don was a kind, loving gentleman and loved and respected by all.

He will be missed by the multitude of friends he amassed over his lifetime. Many thanks for the loving care of Dr. Ron Mundy and the staff at Silverstone.
