Betty-Anne Rose Pap (née Hourigan), born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1943 to Martin Patrick Hourigan and Lillian May Hourigan (née Upton) passed away September 9th, due to a stroke in Sechelt, BC. Betty-Anne moved to Sechelt in 1991 and lived there until her passing. Prior to Sechelt she lived in Edmonton, Sooke, and Yellowknife among other places.

Betty-Anne was heavily involved in the communities where she lived. She was a small woman who left a big shadow. She was passionate about the causes she championed and was strong willed in her desire to do right. She was always willing to share a cup of tea and was endlessly supporting of her grandchildren. She was a kind and loving individual who was an enduring source of energy to those around her. Betty-Anne loved to ballroom dance, and was an accomplished dancer. She was a strong business owner who was known for her computing and technological savvy. She ran Sunshine Coast Computing and other various computer businesses for roughly 30 years, helping many to become computer literate.

She is survived by her husband, Sandor Alex Pap, her sons, Gregory and Robert, her grandchildren, Caroline, István, Caleb, and Mackenzie. her cousin Shirley, her nieces, Kelly and Kathy, and her nephew Dino, along with other extended family, and many many friends. She was per-deceased by her brother, John, her Sister, Kay, and her nephew, Jordi.

Betty-Anne’s family would like to extend an invitation to all who knew her to her celebration of life at the Seaside Centre near the visitors info centre in Sechelt BC, on September the 30th at 1 pm to 330 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local heart and stroke foundation would be welcome. There will be a zoom call for those unable to attend in person.
