Night Market opens July 2

Gibsons

The Society for Preservation of Arts, Culture and Environment (SPACE) is heading into its second season of the Night Market, that will take place every Thursday, July 2 to Sept. 3, from 5 to 9 p.m.

This open-air event features local food, live music and products from local vendors. Visitors are invited to enjoy the full liquor licensing privileges while listening to Sunshine Coast musical talents.

Event co-coordinator Leah Morgan said SPACE created the event to promote a more active cultural community in Upper Gibsons and provide a supportive communal environment to enable networking for artistic, musical and other cultural endeavours.

“We have a great space here with wonderful products, amazing talent and some rotating new concepts such as live art, so we’re really hoping the community comes out to support it, “ Morgan said.  “We love being part of a more vibrant arts and music community in Upper Gibsons and hope the Night Market can keep growing.”

Admission to the Gibsons Night Market is free and everyone is welcome. SPACE will donate the proceeds back into the Sunshine Coast Arts Community.
