Museum hosts Heritage Playday

Gibsons

Celebrate heritage in B.C. and have some fun this Saturday at Sunshine Coast Museum and Archives.

From 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, drop by the museum in Lower Gibsons for an afternoon of good old-fashioned crafts and games.

It’s a time to turn off the television and computer screens and revive the classic spirit of do-it-yourself crafts such as designing popsicle stick people and creating majestic butterflies inspired by our butterfly collection.

If the weather is sunny, there will be sidewalk chalk art, hackey-sack and other outdoor fun. And who doesn’t like the sound of flying a rocket to the moon? This always popular craft will be one of many to enjoy as the museum celebrates the end of Heritage Week with fun for all ages and skill levels.
